Mr. Olympia 2023: Every Detail of Bodybuilding World

Mr. Olympia, the world’s most prestigious bodybuilding competition, was held at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida, from November 2-5, 2023. Featuring some of the best bodybuilders in the world competing for the most glorious title.  Mr. Olympia 2023 event was a showcase of athleticism and dedication.

The stage was set for an epic showdown at the 2023 Mr. Olympia. The defending champion, Hadi Choopan, was looking to retain his title, but he faced stiff competition from a rising star: Derek Lunsford.

Lunsford had made a name for himself in the 212 division, winning the Olympia in 2021. But this year, he was moving up to the Men’s Open division, the most prestigious division in bodybuilding.

The judges were eager to see how Lunsford would stack up against the best in the world. And he didn’t disappoint.

Lunsford brought incredible size, symmetry, and conditioning to the stage. He looked like a million bucks, and the judges were blown away.

In the end, it was Lunsford who emerged victorious. He became the first bodybuilder to win an Olympia title in two different divisions.

As the current champion, Shaun Clarida was put to the test right away during prejudging. Keone Pearson made an early impression and demonstrated his potential to challenge for the title. He managed to win everything in the end. Third-place finisher Angel Calderon Frias also made an impression.

Gillon came in as the contender to win back her championship, but Jessica Reyes Padilla pushed her during prejudging. She came in as the defending Masters Olympia champion and proved to be a threat during prejudging. Gillon was ultimately too powerful to be defeated and won her eighth consecutive title. Padilla finished second, with Lola Montez rounding out the top three.

Coelho defeated Villegas last year, and this appeared to be the match to watch after prejudging. That was also the case throughout the final. Villegas was desperate to reclaim her title, and she achieved so on Friday night. Zena Benta jumped into third place, ahead of Brooke Walker, who finished fourth. Anne-Lorraine Mohn completed the top five.

Grishina impressed throughout prejudging and emerged as an immediate contender for the championship. She was forced to skip the 2022 Olympics owing to an injury and has been training to recover and develop. Taylor Learmont finished second in her Olympia debut. Jaclyn Baker completed the top three.

Jennifer Dorie won the title in 2021 before being dethroned by Maureen Blanquisco last year. Dorie was able to reclaim her championship once all was said and done. In the final callout, the prejudging round was stacked with champions. Blanquisco and Ashley Kaltwasser joined Dorie. This would be the last three, as it had been the case the previous year.

Milewski becomes the first bodybuilder in Olympia history to defeat Kelley. Gabriele Andriulli beat Harold Kelley at the 2022 Arnold Classic, but he got his revenge in Las Vegas. Milewski displayed an excellent body and routine that immediately drew the judges’ notice.

Analysis of the 2023 Mr. Olympia
